SPEED-IT Joins Tnalak Festival 2012
The T’nalak is a fabric widely known for its beauty, strength, and how hard one must work to
produce it. Because of this, it was chosen to symbolize this province and its festival.
Both as a fabric and as a festival, the t’nalak has grown. It is no longer a village festival. One of
the ways we can take it to a global level is through Information and Communications Technology (ICT).
The Southern Philippines Education and Entrepreneurs Development for Information
Technology (SPEED-IT), in coordination with Technical Education and Skills Development Authority
(TESDA) and the provincial government, will hold an ICT Skills Competition and ICT Exposition on July 16
and 17, 2012, in line with the 14th T’nalak Festival Celebration.
Just as the T’nalak Festival brings camaraderie, so can ICT. The ICT enthusiasts, SPEED-IT,
TESDA, DOST, the province of South Cotabato, and the city of Koronadal. All of us are like fibers in the
T’nalak fabric, woven together in the hopes of creating something strong and beautiful through growth
and development in the ICT sector.
See you and let us all witness innovation!
